Lynda Myers is happily replanted in North Carolina after three decades in the Myers’ family home in a Pennsylvania village. Currently, Lynda is editing her collected poems from these years for a new manuscript and completing an illustrated children’s book. Lynda writes about the sacred in the everyday, her mother’s memories of her impoverished 1920s California childhood, and opens windows into the lives of her adult refugee and immigrant English students. Her work explores social injustice, life, belief, faith, and the holy mystery both in her poetry and her mixed media art and often combines the two. Lynda lives in Durham with her husband, Bert. Lynda was a long-time board member and officer of the Pennsylvania Poetry Society. Her poetry has received awards and published in several regional publications.
